Holiday Party

I just had the pleasure of coordinating a kids holiday party for the Jane Ogden Foundation. We had tons of fun. We decorated in bright colors, had a glitter tattoo artist, a specialized kid's dj that put on a very competitive dance off between the kids, delicious food, and of course a special visit from Santa. It was wonderful to see the kids smile and plunge into the Holiday spirit.

Happy Holidays everybody!

Hacienda Golf Club Fall Bridal Faire

Jenny and I had a wonderful time at The Hacienda Golf Club Fall Bridal Faire on November 8th. The golf course and club facility is simply beautiful.

Jenny did an amazing job designing the booth space. She developed the peacock theme and used jewel toned linens, flowers and accessories to tie it all together. It turned out fabulous!

Sweet Pea Green & Cool Grey

Sweet Pea Green and Cool Grey!

I am usually drawn to greens! I decided that I would pair it with the cool grey and create an inspiration board with an understated elegance to share with you. The different shades of green with grey is an unusual and unique way of having a simplistic yet elegant approach. Using the word "Love" is one of our favorite things to do.

Plum & Apple Green

Summer Fling
A perfect way for a couple to start their marriage with a Summer Fling. Plum and apple green is the perfect color collection of sweet young love and fun. The variation of colors, the apple green pumps, the sorbet favors, are not what traditionally grandma would of done. During the summer time it is easy to find vibrant deep purple and green flowers...making it easy to fling what ever needs to be flung! Enjoy!

Bridal Show

We are in the works in preparing the layout, design, and marketing tools for the upcoming bridal show at the beautiful Hacienda Golf Club (718 East Road, La Habra Heights, CA 90631) on Sunday, November 8th. We're going to be one of the exhibitors at the show and want to invite you to come and check out the facility and all the vendors that can provide you with quality service. We want to contribute a prize to the raffle they will be giving to a lucky bride...what does a bride want to win these days? Any suggestions?

Golden Peacock

We love the new-age romantic scheme of using peacock feathers as a wedding theme.
In our research for an upcoming theme presentation for a client- we learned that peacocks represent "fidelity" in mythology because they die of grief or loneliness when they lose their mate. (ahhhh!)
Not only is the representation of the feathers very sweet but they are also very inexpensive. A good quality, clean, full peacock feather
cost about 15cents each. A fancy and inexpensive alternative to flowers. Now we don't recommend that you only use feathers for decor- using too many can be over-kill. Mixing in flowers, branches, candles, ribbons, can compliment the look. We're going to try carry the theme from beginning to end- by using the peacock feathers on the invitation, on the napkins, on the cake, on the bouquets,-options are endless! A perfect modern twist for a bride and groom to start their love nest!

Red the color of Romance

We've been playing around with red. I have to say that it's a pretty intimidating color for me (Because it's a strong domineering color in comparison to the rest). But after playing around with the color wheel- I've come to appreciate-The Power of Red!
Red is a universal symbol of romance, affection, and most often associated with the word "Love". Hence, the perfect color to use for a wedding- if used right! To most red symbolizes deep emotions- passion! Did you know that early civilization used red as the main color to adorn their wedding ceremonies? They did, in fact red roses were an integral part of the wedding wear for brides. Since then, the colors speaks to the burning desire, the deepest passion, and the ultimate symbol of romance. The perfect color for a wedding!
Enjoy our sweet findings!

Modern Elegance

I’ve been working hard on designing Ninette & Michael’s wedding. It has been so fun coming up with ways of mixing variations of pink, from fuschia to a light rose and the stylishness of damask. Modern, romantic, and fun is the vision that Ninette wants to express at her event. I plan on giving her that feel with the use of lush fabrics, lots of candles and surprises along the way. Here is an inspirational board that was created using images that show details that I will be using throughout the event. More inspiration boards to come....

Our ideas come from pictures, food, stories, scents, etc. I am honored to open the door to what I promise you will be a whirlwind of fun wedding inspirations!
